On December 18, 2019 President Donald Trump was impeached , making him the 3rd president in US history to be impeached. President Trump was impeached after being accused of abuse of power and obstruction of congress. While Donald trump joined two of his predecessors being 17th president Andrew Johnson and 42nd president Bill Clinton, neither of the previous presidents were actually removed from office . There are some similarites and differences in the reasons these presidents were impeached. Similarites vary like abuse of power from donald trump and bill clinton but for different reasons, like donald trump so he can get the upper hand in the upcoming election over his opponet joe bien who will also be running. Bill clintons abuse of power was a little more foolsih ,he used his power for sexual releations with somebody who worked for him.In former president Andrew johnsons case he violated a act that was passed by congress which was the Tenure of offic act passed in 1867 which ultimately led to his impeachment. Andrew johmsons case is similar and different at the same time , because you can say he is abusing power but in reality the charge against him was violation . We will likely still have trump in office beacuse it is a very low chance he will be removed fro office , because it will likely leave a stain in united states history and will mess up the leadership in the united states, all 3 presidents were impeached for reasons that could have been avoided but they werent punished in the end. Trumps impeachment will likely lead to him losing the next election because i dont think the people of the United states will want a president who abuses power over another counrty , just for his own benefit in the end i honestly dont think he should be removed from office but i think its erious enoung for him not to be elected again for president for a second term . The presidne who should have been removed from offie is Andrew johnson because he violated act passed , he debritely violated it and he was also still for slavery even after it was sttled after the war i didnt think the united states should have a leader like that , bill clintons situation was proably the most controversial but least serious , cheating scandals are always controversial but of all presidents i think he would have been least likely to have been removed from office but he still abused his power for sexual relations but he didnt really do anything illegal that can get him arrested like the other two presidents, in the end when its all said and done donald trump will still be in office and win his appeal because they wouldnt want to remove a president this close to another election .
