“The Earth's lungs are wheezing “is a short article talking about the tropical forest being destroyed. The first sentence talks about how Donald Trump has been destroying America’s forest. It then moves on to brazils president Jair Bolsanro who has been called brazils Donald trump for destroying the tropical rainforests and letting out more carbon dioxide than needed. As stated in the article “Functioning as the Earth's lungs, the Amazon takes in carbon dioxide - more than 2 billion tons of the greenhouse gas per year - and breathes out fresh oxygen. Massive amounts of planet-warming carbon dioxide is stored in the region's trees and other flora. Deforestation, meanwhile, releases evermore of that trapped carbon dioxide into the air, even as it cuts the amount of mature forest eating up greenhouse gases. Worldwide, deforestation is responsible for 15 percent of annual planet-warming emissions. As the Amazon forest shrinks, fighting climate change is far harder”. Deforestation is more than just carbon dioxide being released into the air, its animals not having a place to live which is harmful to humans as well as the animals depending on the animals. The article then talks about how president Bolsanro is running a highway through the forest which is very dangerous with all the animals that live in Brazil. The article concludes by saying the president of brazil has no free hand and cannot back out “ Bolsonaro does not have a free hand. He cannot amend the forest code, eliminate indigenous “

This article called “Deforestation “simply talks about deforestation itself and the effects it can have on a community and ecosystem” Deforestation is the complete removal of a forest ecosystem and conversion of the land to another type of landscape”. The article then talks about the different reasons humans destroy the forest. Explaining how the Indians burn the forest to turn them into grasslands. Early settlers also cut and burned forests to make croplands. This shows that deforestation has been around for quite a while. They then state that most deforestation cases occur in South America which have the biggest forest. Destroying habitats and releasing carbon dioxide into the air are the two most common problems with deforestation, as a person who loves animals destroying what helps make the world beautiful isn’t good. The article concludes by saying deforestation is beneficial to humans in many different ways providing homes cropland and more.

“Amazon basin” is an article that talks about south America and how it has the largest tropical rainforest in the world covering 2.3 million square miles. Deforestation has caused the human population growth in Ecuador and Colombia by almost 600%, which for the most part is pretty good. Carbon dioxide caused by deforestation is dangerous to the farmers who took over the land, cattle ranches, plantation owners and small landowners are all in danger of their own actions. Over 1500 tree species have been logged. plenty of damage has been done to and around the forests itself . soil erosion and water pollution are some effects from this .Most importantly the amazon is losing plenty of species every time one of these situations occur .The article concludes by saying the brazillian government is working on protecting these areas around the country.
