The human skeleton is very special to us because we need it to do everything. The youtube video “ does the human body really replace itself every 7 years?” is very straight forward and debunks the theory of our bodies replacing themselves every 7 years. The video explains that its 7-15 years. The video is also very visual and uses pictures of the brain and the skeleton to help the viewer illustrate what they are talking about. The youtube video was very short and informational providing information about the skeleton-like how it sheds or telling the viewers about the brain and history on how they get all the information. Overall the video was simple, visual straight to the point. It was also oral because it had a woman talking about all the information in the video. The video was also a little bit goofy so it can keep the viewer engaged with the woman talking saying some jokes. The second video which was called “ do babies really have more bones than adults” is a short and infor...

Valentine's day is a day you can celebrate not only with your significant other but with your family, that's why the article that most appealed the history of valentines day isn’t that romantic ” by Taysha Murtaugh and Rebekah Lowin. The article starts off by backing up my claim in saying “Valentine's Day means different things to different people “.The first sentence in the article I can relate to because Valentine's day hasn’t ever really meant anything to me its really just been another day in the year. I do like seeing others celebrate and be happy, the article also talks about the history good and bad for instance it talked about men beating women with whips “ a ritual of naked men beating women with whips “ is not something you want to hear when it comes to valentines day.  On the other hand, it talked about other traditions in different countries which I liked, they stated that February 14th is the first day of spring in great Britain.Other articles like “ the ...

sports

Throughout mankind, there have been many sports and arguments, but personally, I’ve never heard the argument what is the oldest sport and I bet you haven’t either. If you go on the internet some will tell you running/track and others will tell you wrestling or spear-throwing if you ask me I would say wrestling because of the cave paintings "15,000 years ago in France, Egypt and other places"(stated by Simone). Wrestling could have been made up from young men just being bored and horse playing. Same thing could be said about running as well.stated in  history   https://www.catawiki.com/stories/4865-the-5-oldest-sports-in-the-world  "Wrestling was introduced in the ancient Olympics In 708bc. Track and field didn’t get introduced in the Olympics until 776bc which held a 600 foot long race". Going back to the paintings of wrestling which dated back to 15 -20 thousand years ago, there are old fragments found with wrestling instructions on it. Paintings have been found...

REVISION

In 1904 George Edwin Taylor made history, becoming the first black presidential candidate in United States history. Even though he lost the election he made a name for himself and encouraged other black candidates to run.   He was one of the was influential men to run for president. He was a pioneer not only for black politicians but for everybody he proved that anything is possible even when the odds are stacked against you. George had a very rough childhood mother dying young, no father around, bouncing around in foster care none of that can sit well on a child he could have been mad at the world. He met a farmer named Nathan smith and stayed with him until he was 20 the farmer made sure George had a good education which had a part to do with the man we know him today. He went to college at Wayland university and became a newspaper editor and a journalist, not the kind of man you expect to run for president but he stayed focused and what was right and did what he was supposed t...

thomas edison

Thomas Edison to some people was the iconic man who invented the light bulb, but in reality, there were many men before him 2 of them being Henry Woodward and Matthew Evans whom he paid for the patent. Although Thomas Edison wasn't the man who came up with the infamous light bulb he took the idea and improved upon it. I believe Thomas Edison deserves the credit he gets for the light bulb because the men before him couldn't get in done in many different ways, the Canadians Henry Woodward and Matthew Evans couldn't find a buyer so they sold their project to Thomas Edison and he capitalized on whey we’re supposed to do, other men just simply couldn’t get the light bulb to work properly men like Joseph swan, William Sawyer, etc many more If Thomas Edison didn’t perfect it have no idea how long it would have been until someone would if, or if someone even would have got it down so I think we should thank him for what he did. The other men deserve some credit to don’t  get me w...
